Are you an experienced Spray Painter looking for an exciting opportunity in the Aerospace industry? Our client, a global leader in Aerospace solutions, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as an Aerospace Spray Painter.

As an Aerospace Spray Painter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of aerospace components through precise painting techniques and adherence to industry standards. You will be responsible for applying paint to meet specifications, conducting compliance tests, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Working closely with the team, you will develop techniques and procedures to enhance the painting process.

  • Duration: Permanent
  • Location: Wolverhampton
  • Salary: £41,500 per annum
  • Hours: 37 per week

Key responsibilities:

  • Apply specialised coatings using various painting techniques
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
  • Perform quality inspections before, during, and after painting
  • Maintain painting equipment for proper functioning and safety compliance
  • Read technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment

What do you need to succeed?

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering/manufacturing discipline
  • Proven experience as a painter, preferably on Aerospace components
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Familiarity with aerospace coatings and surface preparation techniques
  • Experience working within a chemical processing department
