Acquisition Reporting Accountant

Our client is a highly acquisitive operation who seek to hire an Acquisition Reporting Accountant. The role will suit a practice trained Accountant looking to make their first move into industry or a qualified Accountant from industry who has relevant experience. The role will assist with all aspects of the technical accounting, monthly financial reporting and regulatory reporting for the Group's acquisitions as they arise, performing any required post acquisition financial processes until the business is integrated into the wider trading entities, and managing all of the ongoing statutory and regulatory obligations of the acquisition post cessation of trade.

The role will have significant exposure to senior members of both the Finance team and Acquisitions team, and will be involved in the due diligence process ahead of acquisitions as well as being a key ongoing contact for vendors during the post acquisition, integration and earn out periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing completion accounts and determining final payments required, as well as ongoing monitoring and calculation of forecast contingent payments
  • Reviewing of the external audit process for acquired entities, ensuring high quality production and timely submission of audited financial statements
  • Financial reporting to regulators for regulated entities within the group
  • Month end reconciliations and journal posting for acquired entities
  • Supporting consolidation process, statutory accounting and other group reporting
  • Providing key data for corporation tax reporting
  • Supporting the group's external audit process where relevant
  • Assisting with integrating the finance functions of acquired companies
  • Assisting with company hive ups and simplification of group structures
  • Assisting with identifying, documenting and implementing opportunities for process improvements within the finance team's systems and controls

A salary of £55,000-£60,000 is on offer plus 8% bonus and benefits.
