SEN Teaching Assistant

Your new role
Hays Education are a specialist SEN agency who work with many schools in Rugby.
The schools we work with have an ongoing & continuous need for regular daily supply and are looking for flexible, punctual, dedicated, and passionate individuals for these positions. The roles and hours will vary, offering you flexibility, but will typically fall between 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday during term time. This is a great way to gain experience within different schools in the county, whilst working towards longer term opportunities if this is your end goal.
You will be required to work with children with SEN either 1:1 or in small groups throughout the day. You will be also assisting the class teacher throughout the day along with playground duties at times. Experience with SEN such as ASD, EBD Speech and Language, ADHD, Behavioural children is desired but not essential.
If you have experience within a similar role or are qualified, we would love to hear from you.
What you will need to be successful:

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • Resilience and patience
  • Driving is not essential, but access to public transport will be beneficial
  • DBS (online) or willing to obtain one
  • 2 checkable references
