Your new company
You will be working for a local public services organisation in which you will be supporting the small finance team for an initial period of 6 months.
Your new role
- Analysing payroll information and processing in the finance system
- Analysis and reporting using excel
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Reconciliation of control accounts
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Portfolio Profit & Loss Accounts
- Board finance report
- Budget reports
- Analysis of financial trends and involving streams of data and forecasts financial expenditure using wide range of data and assumptions
- Financial planning / budget setting with collaboration and engagement of the executive / senior management team
- Liaising with external auditors
- Finance system (Xero) maintenance and development
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT qualified, ACA, ACCA, CIMA part qualified or qualified by experience
- XERO experience would be advantageous
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Must have good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables and V-Look up)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult successfully with stakeholders across all levels of seniority
- 2+ years of experience within a finance function
- Works to achieve agreed objectives and is given freedom to do this in own way, working within broad professional policies.
