Job Purpose
- Support a varied client portfolio, working closely with the senior management team to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
- Preparation of statutory accounts for Limited companies and Sole Traders
- Preparation of accounts from core records, using FRS 105 and/or FRS 102
- Preparation of and submission of VAT returns
- Preparation of and processing of supplier payment runs
- Manage cashbook, postings and reconciliations
- Review expenses, purchase invoices and credit cards
- Liaise with clients, building trusted relationships and proactively handling queries
- Support junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting their professional development
- Identify new processes and ways to increase efficiency
- Research and interpret changes to taxation and accounting regulations
- Champion your own professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements
- AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying
- A proven track record of managing a client portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software, including MS Office, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- A team player who can also work autonomously
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness
