We are currently working in partnership with a social housing provider with properties across Lancashire and assisting them in the recruitment of an Income Officer.
The Income Officer role is available as a six month temporary role, or as a permanent position with a salary of £36k. It is a full-time role which offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days working from home and 3 days working in the office or on patch.
A brief of the main duties is below:
- Responsible for the delivery of a customer-focused, efficient and effective income collection service within the Rent & Financial Inclusion team
- Overseeing the collection of service charges for leaseholder portfolio, shared ownership and rent to buy stock
- Take arrears action on customer accounts with rent arrears, providing income management advice and helping clients to sustain their tenancy
- Make repayment arrangements with tenants in arrears
- Follow Pre Court Protocol on arrears cases
- Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver improved services and outcomes for tenants and leaseholders
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of current legislation and the regulatory framework in relation to Possession proceedings for rent arrears and recovery of other debts
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver services that enhance the customer experience
- Work in collaboration with financial inclusion, locality teams and support teams to promote sustainable tenancies and communities
