Document Controller - Part-Time

A leading contractor within the Rail market is looking for an experienced Document Controller to join their team. They need someone who is capable of joining a DC team and able to hit the ground running; you will be based in their site office, working with the team day to day. Dealing with all office support needs and helping to upload and check documents; you will need experience dealing with filling documents on excel and using SharePoint or ProjectWise.

Please note this is a part time role, 3 days a week on site in York.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on Document control for the project following alliance Process and procedures.
  • Liaison with client and third parties within the project.
  • Support project team on integration between contractors.
  • Liaise with other critical site staff and operatives.
  • Work as part of a project team, assisting to deliver projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Process the project Materials, so that all applications and bookings are complete and submitted to the prescribed timescales.
  • Attending all training and briefings to ensure all activities meet current regulations and guidance.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • IT skills (MS Office),ProjectWise SharePoint or equivalent.
  • Experience in document control process.
  • Experience of working in project environment.
  • Understanding of railway standards, processes, and procedures
  • Understanding of CDM and H&SE legislation
