Position: Finance Analyst/ Business Partner

Location: Newport, South Wales, Hybrid - 2 days in office.

Role Overview:

As the Finance Analyst/Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis functions of our organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the financial services division. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, optimise financial performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the financial services division.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance against budget and forecasts.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather financial information, validate assumptions, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed to support the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of financial services products, markets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
