Our client are looking to recruit for an exciting new broker developmenet opportunity that offers a remote working pattern with the successful indidvidual responsible helping optimise the client's patternship with a national broker network.

The opportunity:

The vacancy will report into the UK Account Director and be focused on broker agencies which are members of Networks which our client have partnered with. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the broker partnerships for Network members including managing account plans, building pipeline and driving growth. This will include working externally alongside Network business development teams and internally with new business underwriters, existing business teams, and other of the client's business area's to ensure delivery of our sector propositions

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivery of the Account Plans for allocated broker accounts which are partner Network members as described in the Business Development Plan, to achieve Network sales target
  • Maintain existing broker relationship through regular development meetings in conjunction with the business development teams of our partner Networks
  • Work alongside the Development underwriters to assist in delivering new business terms where appropriate to assist in winning business
  • Develop a clear understanding of the Markel UK sector propositions and confidently present to allocated brokers
  • Collaboration with the client's BDMs to drive the opportunity for Focus Key/Dev brokers belonging to a partner Network
  • Maintain the broker data on the CRM system to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate for the partner Network brokers. Add meaningful notes of broker meetings and ensure outcomes are tasked and followed up to maintain good development practice, in accordance with the CRM working practices guide
  • Actively seek new partner Network member broker prospects and add to the CRM system in accordance with the CRM Working Practices guide

What we're looking for in you:

  • Have previous experience working in a Business Development role within the insurance industry
  • Be able to maintain and implement Account Plans for allocated partner Networks and their member brokers, including owning the engagement strategy and quarterly business reviews
  • Developing a pipeline with partner Networks and their member brokers to drive growth in accordance with the Networks new business budget
  • Work closely with internal partners to deliver the right outcomes for allocated brokers and their customers
  • We are looking for ambitious, motivated and success orientated individuals who bring expertise and a desire to build a market leading business
