We are inviting applications for the role of English Teacher at a reputable college in Birmingham. This role is available on a temporary and potentially ongoing basis, with the flexibility of full-time and part-time hours. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated educator with a teaching qualification and a degree in English or a related subject area. A current DBS check is required for this position.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and informative English lessons to college students, ensuring a high standard of learning.
Develop lesson plans and prepare teaching materials in line with educational standards and objectives.
Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
Keep accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.
Participate in curriculum development and departmental meetings to enhance the English programme.
Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and contribute to a supportive teaching community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Recognised teaching qualification.
Degree in English or a related subject area.
Experience in teaching English at the college level is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse student body.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and execute lessons effectively.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of education.
A valid and current DBS check.
