Logistics Planner

Would you like to work on cutting edge defence projects and offer excellent scope for future progression? We currently have a vacancy for a Logistics Planner working for BAE Systems at Warton site on the Typhoon Final Assembly Line, overseeing Typhoon production.
As a Logistics Planner, you will be supporting the production line final assembly teams, to deliver against our delivery targets to the end user customer.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a cutting edge defence project this role is varied due to the nature of the tasks and the possibility of self-development.

Key tasks will involve;
- Demand management of aircraft components from supply to source of demand.
- Reverse logistical processes, facilitating product back through the supply chain to supplier, to enable rework/corrective action.
- Utilisation of Infor LN ERP system
- Attend and host regular meetings with internal customers, building positive working relationships.
- Effective management of non-conforming product and quarantine procedures.
- Export control tasking and compliance.
- Undertaking a range of generic Logistic activities in a safe and professional manner, facilitating product movement to a variety of sites and locations.
- Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
- Following relevant instructions and be able to use effectively and efficiently relevant documentation and IT systems that support the logistic activities
- Ensuring adherence to all Logistics processes (receipt, store, maintain, kit and dispatch) both physical and within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Interpreting data and providing insights on findings
Supporting management / operational reviews

The jobholder will have strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent IT skills are required including Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems would be an advantage. Supply chain, manufacturing and logistical planning experience is desirable. You will be an effective team worker with the ability to work to deadlines.
