Pay Rate: £26 - £28 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Umbrella
Shift Pattern: 9am - 5pm, Mon-Fri

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Band 6 Mental Health Nurse with prison experience to join the team at HMP Dovegate, a high-security prison in the Midlands. This role offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, providing essential mental health support to prisoners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and treatment to prisoners.
- Deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions to support mental health recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care as necessary.
- Ensure the safe and effective management of medications and interventions.
- Participate in case reviews and contribute to discharge planning.
Key Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC pin.
- Proven experience working within a prison setting.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage complex cases.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
