EXPERIENCED LIVE-IN DOMESTIC COUPLE FOR UHNW FAMILY IN NORTH LONDON

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Domestic Couple to support an UHNW family at their beautiful home in North London. Working as an existing couple, you will work be responsible for the interior and exterior cleanliness and maintenance of this large property year-round. The family are not in residence full-time, so this role will require a flexible Couple who can switch between quieter and busier periods of time with ease.
The Handyman/Driver's duties will include the upkeep and maintenance of all electronic, heating and AV/IT equipment, liaising with external contractors as and when required and take care of any repairs and defects on the property, as well as assisting the gardeners with groundswork when required. Additionally, the Handyman/Driver will also undertake errand running and driving duties for the family when they are in residence and be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicles.
The Housekeeper/Laundress will ensure that the house is maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness and will also manage the laundry, ironing and care of personal items. Simple cooking (breakfast & family-style lunch/dinner) will also be required when the family are in residence, so the Housekeeper should be comfortable in the kitchen, though the role does not require a professional chef. The Housekeeper/Laundress will also be expected to assist in serving guests at small events.
The Couple will work a Monday to Friday workweek when the family are not in residence, managing their own time efficiently to ensure that all duties are completed to a high standard, but flexibility will be required when the principals are in residence to accommodate longer workdays and weekend work, with time given back in lieu once the family have departed again. Accommodation is offered on-site in a separate, private 1-bedroom cottage with kitchen, living room and bathroom.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintaining all electronic, AV/IT and entertainment systems, including dealing with internet and phone service providers
- Security of the property, dealing quickly and responsibly with any issues that arise
- Repairing any defects such as leaky pipes, cracks in walls etc.
- Managing external contractors as and when required
- General cleaning and upkeep of the courtyard and patio; assisting the gardeners when needed
- Driving the family and running errands; maintaining the family's vehicles
- Management of all household laundry, including clothing, linens etc.
- Care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials etc.
- Daily cleaning of the property, ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the household including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, making beds and changing beds
- Polishing marble and silverware
- Take stock of all household items ensuring everything is well-stocked, managing inventory and stock lists
- Flower arranging
- Cooking simple meals and serving at the table
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Previous experience in a Couples role supporting a UHNW families within a private household
- Hardworking with a flexible mindset when it comes to working days / hours
- Very high attention to detail
- Team players with positive, can-do attitudes
- Excellent communication skills
- Good standard of written and spoken English
- Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Able to prioritise and multitask effectively
- Full, clean driving license (Handyman/Driver)
- Right to work within the UK
- Excellent checkable references
