Your new company
We are seeking a full-time Year 6 Teacher for a dynamic primary school in the Wallasey area of the Wirral. The post is for the 2024/25 academic year starting in September 2024. Candidates must have previous experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes, with ECTs who have taught in Year 5 or 6 on placement also considered.
The school has a great reputation in the local community and delivers an engaging and inspiring curriculum to develop pupils on their learning journey. It has a dedicated staff team who are passionate about delivering the highest quality education and the most creative lessons for the children in their class. The school has been rated a 'Good' school by Ofsted.
Your new role
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners and follow the national curriculum. You will also be expected to assess and monitor pupil progress, provide feedback and support, and work collaboratively with other staff and parents. You will also be expected to take an active role in the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
- Experience of teaching upper key stage 2 classes
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
