We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team and contribute to the delivery of a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about facilitating a learning experience that enables students to achieve their full potential and is committed to contributing to raising standards of student attainment.

Day to day of the role:

  • Implement and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Act as a form tutor, providing guidance and support to a group of students.
  • Develop resources, lesson plans, and syllabuses to contribute to the departmental plan.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and participate in the Performance Management Review process.
  • Maintain accurate records and track student progress, communicating effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of teaching practices within the subject area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Experience in teaching Maths at secondary level, ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and working in an 11-18 school.
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong ICT skills, with experience in using interactive whiteboards preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive relationships.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to high expectations and equality of access for all students.
