Assistant Warehouse Manager Adlington £27,000 - £32,000 + Benefits
Role Summary
Our client is a leading distribution business based in the UK. They offer end-to-end services, including warehousing, fulfilment, freight forwarding, and customs clearance. This role is responsible for helping to deliver exceptional service in a very demanding, fast-paced distribution environment. This is a critical role for the business that requires a positive "can-do" type attitude & a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make things happen. You will need to be extremely passionate about logistics and will use this to leverage teams and resources to ensure all orders are processed in an efficient, timely, and profitable way. The role is Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required in line with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, empower and support your team to succeed in their role.
- Be aware of, and actively support the profitability of the business through operational channels.
- Ensure the Warehouse operation is run in a cost-effective manor taking a pro-active approach to reducing cost.
- Identify & implement Continuous Improvement opportunities.
- Ensure day to day KPI's are achieved, ensuring excellent customer service to clients.
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience working within a Distribution operation, most likely in a Supervisor or Shift Manager capacity
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels.
- Proactive attitude with demonstrable examples of showing initiative & willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft suite.
- High level organisational & problem-solving skills.
- "Can-do" attitude with a people centric management style
