English Teacher

We are inviting applications for the position of an English Teacher to provide cover from the 2nd of September to the October half term, with a possibility of extending until the 20th December 2024. This role has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality English education to students at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons that meet the national curriculum standards.
- Foster a love for literature and language arts among students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in English.
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Strong understanding of the English curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
