Controls Officer
Initial 6 Month Contract

£95/day (Inside IR35)
I am currently looking for a Control's Officer for my Council Client. This role will work with the Team Leader in Financial Transactions. You will be joining a team going through a major time of change helping shape the council's approach to back-office financing. This post is key to supporting the HR/Payroll and Income & Debt Teams.
- Prepare and process monthly/end-of-year payments
- Prepare and file monthly/end-of-year returns
- General ledger account reconciliation and reporting specific to the role. Query any unknown postings and rectify as appropriate
- Produce payments & returns for our pension schemes
- General ledger account reconciliation and reporting
- Support audits
- Able to follow strict deadlines and adhere to them
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- IT skills - SAP (preferable but not essential) Microsoft Tools Excel, Word, Teams
