Position: Assistant Catering Manager
Location: Macclesfield
Salary: £14.41 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Permanent - 36 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7:00am - 7:30pm, 3 days per week, includes alternative weekend working.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Catering Manager to join the team and contribute to the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work activities comply with work instructions and quality standards.
- Ensure waste is kept to a minimum and disposed of quickly and effectively.
- Liaise with Catering Manager regarding required catering arrangements.
- As and when required assist in the provision of catering for any special functions.
- Ensure accurate stock control.
- Prepare and Service meals.
- Ensure all staff are trained and know their responsibilities.
- Comply with Health & Safety and Hygiene.
- To complete supervisions as per charities policy.
- To lead and take onus of the role.
- To supervise catering team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- An ability to demonstrate the core values of the service.
- NVQ 1 / 2 or City & Guilds 706/1
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to attain)
- Experience of cooking for large groups of people
- Experience of managing a small staff team
- Able to manage time
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and evenings)
- Able to work under pressure
