The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 3 team. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support to our students, helping to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 3 students.
- Provide individual and group support to students, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to access the curriculum.
- Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Support the social and emotional development of students, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom materials and resources.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities.
- Help with the assessment and recording of student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities as required.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a primary or pre-prep school setting.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
