With engaging stories to tell, there's always something to share with our visitors, and as part of a team that works across Leith Hill Place and Tower it is our job to make sure we're doing just that throughout our 2024 season.

Salary: £11.50 per hour

Contract/duration: Fixed term until 30 November 2024

Hours/working pattern/hours: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible. You'll be required to work weekends and bank holidays in this role.

What it's like to work here Reporting to the Visitor Experience Officer, you'll be part of a team of 10 working at Leith Hill. We're a small team at the beginning of an exciting year re-building of our public offer here at Leith Hill Place and Tower. The House and the Tower, open their doors to visitors every weekend and Bank Holiday (with some Fridays across the summer months).

There is never a dull day here in the Surrey Hills, it's a stunningly beautiful place to work. Some days are spent inspiring people about the artworks on display in the House or pouring tea and serving delicious cakes from our volunteer café, while other days could be spent outdoors, in all weathers welcoming visitors at the Tower.

What you'll be doing Service Assistants play an important role in supporting various property teams in greeting and helping our visitors. No two days are the same and you can expect to meet lots of different people and help in various visitor areas. You'll be involved in various tasks, these could include greeting visitors on arrival, restocking the shelves in the shop and clearing tables in the café. Most importantly you'll talk to visitors, answering any questions they have to make sure they can find everything they need for their visit. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and a keen interest in learning about visitor operations. Who we're looking for
