Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - this is essential
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Minimum of 3 Months teaching experience in the UK
  • Experience of teaching science in KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Enthusiasm for professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in developing the science curriculum, integrating cutting-edge resources and innovative teaching methods.
  • Innovate and think creatively in delivering the curriculum
  • Ensure students are working towards objectives and the science curriculum
  • Facilitate real learning experiences for the children
  • Manage the classroom to support all students' learning needs.
  • Assess student progress through various methods and regularly update on student progress
  • Build rapport with your students and other members of the science department
  • Ensuring safety and well-being of students is a top priority
