Our Prestigious Engineering client based in Irlam are looking for an experienced office based sales estimator required for their fast-paced manufacturing company, estimating architectural metal work components and assemblies, materials and processes including turret punching, routing, Press Brake Forming, Welding, Assembly together with obtaining costs from sub-contract suppliers for finishing operations. Customer liaison regarding pricing / lead times and delivery schedules.
Main Responsibilities:
- Estimating architectural metal work.
- Obtaining supplier quotations
- Manage and maintain relations with existing customers
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential customers
- The candidate will be expected to follow up estimates, negotiate and secure orders.
- Liaising with production ref lead times/delivery schedule
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Previous manufacturing estimation / costing experience essential. (Sheetmetal / fabrication)
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Computer literate, Microsoft office etc,
- Attention to detail a must.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to understand and interpret technical Drawings.
- Minimum of five years' experience developing new business for construction related firms, additional years of experience may substitute for bachelor's degree.
Salary: £37,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30
Experience:
- Estimating: 2 years minimum (preferred)
