Programme Finance Manager

Our client is a truly market leading brand with multiple sites in the UK are looking for a Programme Finance Manager to join their site based in Gaydon, Warwickshire (you will like the products that they engineer!) - an exciting place to work offering the flexibility of a hybrid working scenario (probably 2 days per week office/home) and a half day on a Friday!

Role Purpose:

  • This role is the finance lead for a product line team, led by the associated Director.
  • The role will be responsible for the financial control of all related Programs as well as ensuring that the overall product line makes returns in line with the companies strategic objectives and Business Plan.
  • In addition, a purpose of the role is to work with colleagues within Program Finance and other areas of Finance to continually improve the Finance processes and ensure that best practices are deployed across the whole department. It will also provide leadership and development of more junior members of the Program Finance team
  • You will be a key decision-maker for relevant areas within the Accounting function, and will require influencing skills with the Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance teams and have the ability to create productive working relationships with colleagues across the business as necessary

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking the overall plan for the business area, own the Forecast, Budget and Business Plan preparation for all product line CAPEX, explained primarily as product creation activity and fixed assets (vendor tooling, factory equipment, IT and non-prod assets), and manage a team of analysts to support the delivery of that plan.
  • Own the creation, tracking and review of material cost targets within the product line, supporting effective communication and achievement of these targets alongside cross-departmental interfaces.
  • Guide Planning activities to deliver the Business Plan. Lead the target development process for individual programs.
  • Lead project teams from a financial perspective by providing sound business and financial planning advice to enable the achievement and improvement of Budget and Business Plan targets. Develop roadmaps where required to achieve targets
  • Overall Finance accountability for Cost centre control within the team (including monthly accounting and forecasting analysis).
  • Preparation and review of monthly management information across projects. Lead review with Product Line Director, providing sound business judgement in order that project decisions can be made.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of financials for Product Committee, Gateways and other senior reviews.
  • Manage team of analysts through setting objectives and day to day feedback and interaction.
  • Delegated responsibility for Senior Finance Manager when required.
  • Chair, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve key financial risks or issues.
  • Challenge operating interfaces to help achieve the most cost-efficient results.
  • Support external negotiations with key partners as required

Qualification & Experience:

  • Candidates should have a proven track record of a broad financial and interpersonal skill set with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Previous experience within a financial Product Creation function would be advantageous
  • High Performance Automotive experience.
  • Educated to degree level (2:1 minimum).
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
