Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit an NPI Process Engineer to work as a member of the NPI / Project team to deliver and improve a product and process into Manufacturing that meets both company and customer expectations. The NPI Process Engineer is responsible for continually reviewing and improving processes to deliver manufacturing techniques that are highly efficient, deliverable, and meet quality standards. You can expect to manage 2/3 projects simultaneously.
During your first few weeks in this NPI Process Engineer role, you can expect to begin work on some of the following:
- Process methods for continuous improvement for QCD
- Management of core process documentation including PFMEA and Control Plans work instructions
- Develop and support processes for new products and NEW product introduction Single piece flow, low volume
- Cost down in method, tools, and materials
- Support Quality engineering in defect investigation and deliver root-cause resolution
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly engineering role and a Mechanical Engineering degree or higher. You will also require:
- Proven track record of manufacturing method improvements in assembly
- Six sigma background
- Black belt is preferable but not essential
- Excellent "Can do" attitude
- Good communication skills and ability to lead a team through improvement activities
