An exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Head of Sales / Sales Director / Commercial Director with a passion for the FMCG industry to drive international growth for a well-known beauty company.

Client Details

My client is a well-established and well respected skincare brand within the beauty industry, creating holistic and skin-friendly products. Still founder owned, the company has a non-corporate, SME feel, despite being founded over 30 years ago. With a large presence in the UK and US, the brand is now looking for an experienced International Head of Sales, International Sales Director or Commercial Director to grow their ROW business.

Description

  • Support the International General Manager on driving international sales growth
  • Identify and unlock new business opportunities globally, across distributors, retailers, SPA, travel retail and amenities
  • Manage teams across sales and marketing to deliver and support ongoing growth, including ongoing recruitment
  • Report regularly to the International GM and other internal stakeholders on progress and sales
  • Work collaboratively with commercial finance teams to create streamlined and efficient reporting tools and accurate forecasts
  • Hold full commercial, P&L and budget responsibility
  • Stay ahead of market trends to identify new opportunities and new markets for growth
  • Formulating and implementing sales strategies to drive international sales growth
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations

Profile

A successful International Head of Sales should have:

  • Experience operating as an International Account Manager with demonstrable experience managing any or all of: distributors, retail, SPA or global travel retail
  • Extensive experience operating in a senior international role
  • Background in beauty (preferable), fashion or luxury
  • Demonstrable leadership experience, with the ability to build, lead, motivate and manage teams
  • Proven experience of creating and delivering international sales strategies and leading marketing teams
  • Exposure to fast-paced, dynamic businesses
  • Strong understanding of retail and wholesale channels across international markets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and reporting skills
  • Result driven, hunter mentality. Enjoys driving new business growth
  • A strong understanding of international trade regulations
  • Ability to travel internationally 30-40% of the time
