The Project Manager job role itself, where you will play a crucial role in client side project management projects from conception to completion. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our collaborative and passionate team.

You will oversee the management of construction project design, estimation, and project planning; including all relevant statutory processes and procurement management. Plus be the key, day-to-day client interface; ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the appropriate quality standards. More specifically:

  • Leading the project team in programme and cost control in line with the JCT contract
  • Stakeholder management and reporting
  • Defining success criteria and monitoring KPIs (key performance indicators)
  • Project governance
  • Quality assurance
  • Change control and issuing instructions
  • Monitoring & advising on project finance
  • Bid management

You will have

To be successful as Project Manager, we are looking for an accomplished Project Manager with Client-Side Contract Administration and Employers Agent experience. Plus a healthy mix of the following:

  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of JCT construction contracts
  • Excellent client facing skills, with the ability to understand and empathise
  • Proactive attitude, taking responsibility for your own time management; working towards overall project timescales and potentially tight deadlines
  • Solution orientated approach to challenges
  • Strong analytical skills, you're not afraid to challenge the status quo and hold people and teams to account
  • A team player – take accountability for your work, sharing your lessons learnt and wins with the wider team

An understanding of the tasks required in both pre- and post-contract roles, for example: procurement, contract formation, post contract cost control, contract administration, value engineering, risk management and final accounts
