Teaching Assistant

Hays Education are seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to fill 3 positions at a lovely free school located on the outskirts of Bradford city centre. This well-established school caters to girls aged 5-16.
Notably, recent public examination results have positioned the school as a top performer in Bradford and amongst the top three in Yorkshire.

The school are eager to appoint 1 Teaching Assistant in a permanent position and a further 2 Teaching Assistants on a fixed-term contract basis with the contract ending in July 2025.

The working hours are :-
Position 1 - Part-time, term-time, permanent (8:30-1:30)

Position 2 - Part-time, term-time, fixed-term to July 2025 (7:30 am to 1:30 pm)

Position 3 - Part-time, term-time, fixed term to April 2025 - Classroom assistant and Afterschool supervisor (12:00pm-6:00pm)

The successful applicant will work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff to implement agreed teaching programmes to support access to learning for individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom and to have regard for the aims and objectives of the Junior School and its policies, working efficiently as part of a collegial and smooth-running Junior School team.

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) is required for this role
  • Relevant experience in Reception (EYFS) and a thorough understanding of the EYFS statutory framework (full-time role only)
  • Ability to empathise with the needs of the children.
  • Has a passion for education.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a sense of humour.
  • Well-organised and punctual.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • First aid qualification - desirable
