Position: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Swansea Valley - Ystradgynlais, Pontardawe etc
Salary: £14.50 - £15.50
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent / Temporary
**About Us
At Randstad, we provide our client's with experienced professionals who have backgrounds supporting vulnerable young people, particularly in residential care. The young people we support have experienced significant childhood trauma, mental health issues, involvement in county lines, and child sexual exploitation (CSE). We are committed to helping each young person develop resilience, build positive relationships, and achieve their full potential.
**Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support and care for young people in a residential setting.
- Implement individual care plans and therapeutic interventions.
- Assist young people in developing life skills and positive coping strategies.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, therapists, and educators.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents through vigilant supervision and proactive risk management.
**Requirements
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and childhood trauma is essential.
- Previous experience in a children's residential home is advantageous but not essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.
- Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
