Purchase Ledger Clerk

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting for an Interim Accounts Payable Clerk for a business based in Bridgwater. This opportunity is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Salary range DOE: £25,000 - £26,000

Working hours - 37.5 hours a week

Role includes:

  • Ensure Company Suppliers are paid in accordance with their terms and conditions
  • Supplier communication: Query resolution
  • Regular review of invoices not cleared for payment and actively resolving issues, including chasing business approval of invoices
  • Payment runs
  • Daily management of the Purchase Ledger inbox
  • Ensures all action is taken to prevent and manage any underpayments/over-payments to Suppliers
  • Providing cover for other team members as and when required

Skills/Experience needed:

  • Experience of working in a finance environment - Ideally with purchase ledger
  • Experience with SAP - Desirable
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise
  • High attention to detail
