A globally recognised property company is seeking a Maintenance Operative to work within a high-spec Build-to-Rent scheme in Birmingham. The salary is paying up to £26,000 per annum with working hours between 9am - 5:30pm.
The role:
The Maintenance Operative will be responsible for carrying out reactive, planned and preventative maintenance to a residential building in Birmingham.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Operative include:
- Reactive and preventative maintenance including; basic plumbing, painting and decorating, repairing.
- Ensure vacant apartments are ready for new tenants.
- Work to deadlines to minimise losses.
- Investigation works such as electrical problems or leaks.
- Moving furniture.
- Monthly and weekly tests/checks including fire alarms, lighting and water temperature.
- Maintain records of activities.
The person:
- At least 2 years experience in a Maintenance role.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Team player with good communication.
