Graduate Engineering Geologist

Location: Taunton
This is a great opportunity for a recent geology, civil engineering or engineering geology graduate to join a team of ground investigation consultants on a range of exciting projects around Taunton and the surrounding area. With a specialist team keen to pass on their skills and a range of projects in the South West to get stuck into, you'll be provided with excellent training on engaging projects.
The Graduate Engineering Geologist role offers:

The Graduate Engineering Geologist selected will be working largely on site:
- Assisting with site walkovers.
- Carrying out site/ground investigations.
- Soil and rock logging.
- Trial pitting.
- Preparing phase plans and carrying out phase 1 Desk Studies.
- Training up to write factual reports.
- Work on in situ testing.
- Observing day-to-day tasks to develop geo-environmental and geotechnical knowledge.
This Graduate Engineering Geologist position requires:
- Applicants to have a minimum of a BSc in geology, environmental science, engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering or a relevant subject (MSc preferable).
- Be keen to learn and develop geo-environmental/geotechnical skills.
- Have an ability show enthusiasm for working outdoors in a hands on role.
- Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Live commutable to Taunton.
- Have a full right to work in the UK.
