Your new company

Hays Recruitment are recruiting an HR system and Data Administrator to join a growing public sector organisation based across the country on an initial 6-month FTC with the potential to go permanent. You will be part of the HR Transformation and Systems team and reporting to the HR Systems and Insights Manager

Your new role

In your new role, you will be responsible for being the primary support contact for system use queries across the HR platforms ensuring all queries are resolved and responded to in a timely manner, whilst troubleshooting and resolving system issues across all modules and HR platforms. You will be carrying out day-to-day system administration activities for the HRIS and ATS including maintenance of reference tables, creation of new posts, working patterns, and access permissions.

You will also be conducting data audits and updating the appropriate systems to ensure robust data quality and raising cases with suppliers, chasing outstanding cases and tracking outcomes for lessons learnt training with the HR Team. You will be carrying out an audit of both systems to identify areas where platform improvements can be made and to ensure HR processes are being followed correctly.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Knowledge and experience of HR Systems Administration and working with People XD/Core HR/ATS systems such as iCIMS
  • Knowledge of HR best practice and data governance methods
  • Excellent attention to detail and data quality, ideally with some experience of maintaining data in HR systems
  • Ability to manage own workload, to prioritise effectively and to escalate issues where appropriate
  • Ability to handle confidential, sensitive matters and queries with a high standard of professionalism
  • Advanced MS Excel user and competent user of all other MS Office Suite programmes
