QA Test Engineer - Remote £50,000

Posted by SR2.

I'm recruiting for a QA Test Engineer to join my client on a fully remote basis. They develop software that helps to look at the risks when carrying out clinical trials on new medicines and drugs. Their products help to manage and analyze the results and risks and improve the time it takes to get them to market. It's a booming sector and with a team of approximately 50 and a tech team of around 20 they have being growing substantially over the past couple of years. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, as the company follows a remote-first approach. However, applicants must be based in the UK. To keep a strong sense of unity the company organises four company catchups annually, covering all associated travel and accommodation expenses.

They are slowly transitioning to an agile way of working and have a QA Test team of 6 consisting of 2 automation testers and 4 manual testers. They are starting to transition their automation over to Cypress and are giving their manual testers the opportunity to upskill in this with time each week to dedicate to this. There are now on the lookout for an additional software tester/ QA to contribute to testing activities across their web based products. You will predominantly be focusing on manual testing to start with and then will have the opportunity to start getting involved in automation as they start to transition over to Cypress from Selenium.

Thie ideal person will be an experience manual tester with some knowledge of Cypress, whether this is starting to upskill on it it in your own time, or perhaps you've had a chance to get involved in automation in a recent role (either with Cypress or other tools). Any experience of working within the pharmaceutical or clinical trials sector before would be amazing but certainly isn't essential for the role.

It's an exciting time to be joining the company as they are going through a big period of growth . They heavily invest in their staff, providing training budgets and annual pay increases.

Salary is anywhere up to £50,000 dependent on experience and they offer 27 days holiday plus bank holidays on top and extra days thrown in here and there just because they like to reward their staff, plus a whole range of other benefits.
