Indirect Category Manager

We are representing a client with a developing procurement team who are looking for a Category Manager. You will be managing all indirect spends, focusing on IT, marketing, fleet management, telecommunications. You will report to the Head of Procurement to ensure that the company's cost and quality goals are achieved. Read on if you would like to become a part of an exciting and busy team!

Job Title: Indirect Category Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p.a. + £5k car allowance

Location: Borehamwood

Type: Permanent, Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage indirect spends with a focus on IT and telecommunications, professional service, marketing, vending, fleet management, patient transport and all other logistics
  • Work with stakeholders to facilitate opportunities for technology innovation
  • Supplier relationship management, tracking KPIs and conducting quarterly review meetings
  • Develop strategy alongside Head of Procurement
  • Operational management of sourcing activities e.g. market engagement, supplier pre-qualification, supplier selection, ITTs, supplier evaluation
  • Running tenders and writing ITT documentation through eProcurement platform
  • Reviewing contracts to ensure the right agreements are in place across the company
  • Sourcing the best quality equipment, goods and services for competitive prices
  • Use internal reporting as management tool
  • Support project management of complex procurement activities
