We are looking for a driven and experienced professional to take on the role of Managing Director for our client's company. This position is perfect for a Director ready to step up and lead a business. The selected candidate will be at the forefront of driving growth, overseeing all operational aspects locally and internationally, connecting with the global business network, and maintaining the company's market leadership. Comprehensive support will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into this leadership role.

**Experience in an SME manufacturing and/or engineering business is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business strategies aimed at driving growth, profitability, and expanding market presence.
  • Establish and pursue both long-term and short-term goals in line with the company's objectives.
  • Provide visionary leadership and set strategic direction for the company.
  • Optimise operational processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and financial stability.
  • Create and refine reporting tools to monitor company performance effectively.
  • Oversee budgeting processes to ensure sound financial management.
  • Utilise market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and customer needs.
  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing team to achieve company goals.
  • Supervise executives and managers, offering leadership and motivation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry experts and enhance the company's public profile through networking and external engagements.
  • Manage all aspects of the business in the UK and globally, fostering strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven success in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Experience in a senior position within an SME engineering or manufacturing organisation.
  • Strong strategic marketing / growth skills, with experience engaging new and existing clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and market expansion through strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, business development, and financial management.
  • Proven ability to manage complex business environments and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Strong financial acumen.
