They design, manufacture, and install noise and vibration control equipment in the UK and Europe. They have a tremendous reputation after delivering high quality services for over 50 years. Their Head Office is based in Hertford and their extensive manufacturing facilities in Thetford. The Role:
Due to continued growth, my client is looking to recruit an experienced CAD Designer to work from our Head Office in Hertford. As part of our busy drawing office team, you will be responsible for site surveying, producing drawings, and coordinating the design of projects in the UK and Europe. They specialise in varied and bespoke acoustic packages, ranging from very small to multimillion-pound projects. The ideal candidate will understand how to develop and deliver a working design from concept to completion within the required budget.
Role responsibilities include:
- Carrying out dimensional site surveys on exciting projects throughout the UK and occasionally in Europe.
- Attending interesting design meetings, based either on site or online.
- Coordinating designs with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Producing detailed manufacturing and installation drawings, general arrangement drawings, and as-built drawings.
- The opportunity to work independently as well as part of the supportive design team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably in the HVAC, mechanical, or structural steelwork sectors.
- Understand how to develop and deliver a working design from conception to completion with the required budget.
- Proven track record in CAD, including excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2024 LT.
- Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, with a strong focus on customer care.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills that enable high quality work in a busy environment.
- Full UK driving license and a passport, including the willingness to travel.

- £35 to £45k per annum.
- 25 days per annum (3 days to be taken between Christmas and New Year).
