Teaching Assistant

Reed Education are seeking a talented Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to support and inspire students aged 7-11 who have difficulties with communication and social interaction, often associated with Autism. This temporary role is not just a job, but a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students during your time with us.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Build warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe and valued, and enabling them to thrive in their learning environment.
- Encourage and foster pupils' independence and personal development.
- Assist the Class Teacher with the daily activities and management of the class.
- Adapt to the dynamic needs of the school and take on various tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Participate in creating an engaging educational experience that promotes all aspects of pupils' development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English qualification, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Previous experience in a special school environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Team TEACH Training would be advantageous.
