Join our team as Senior Marketing Executive
The Student Attraction and Marketing team have a wide remit, to attract potential students into the profession, to engage with, motivate and provide logistical and operational updates to our students as well as to attract employers who will employ our students as trainee accountants providing them with the information about the qualification they require. This is a busy team who deliver well-established marketing strategies and explores new opportunities to achieve our goals.
Overall purpose of this role of Senior Marketing Executive
Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and the Marketing Executive - ACA Delivery, this role develops and delivers communications and marketing in support of the ACA qualification. They will be part of the Student Attraction and Marketing team with colleagues who are responsible for Student Attraction, Student Marketing and Employer Marketing.
This role is specifically focussed on the evolution of the ACA qualification and ICAEW are committed to communicating clearly with our different audiences to ensure they know and understand what the changes are to the qualification and what the impact is on them, as well as using this as an opportunity to increase the marketing activity to audiences to promote the qualification.
This post, which is a full-time, contract role is pivotal in the delivery of both communications and marketing for the qualification. The post-holder will work in a close-knit team who already deliver marketing and communications for our audiences and will focus on the specifics of the qualification redevelopment. They are central to the success of the roll-out of the qualification.
To act as brand champion to help embed the ICAEW values, ensuring brand consistency, promoting best practice and sharing ideas across the team and ICAEW.
Senior Marketing Executive Responsibilities include:
- Working in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager, develop strategic communications, positioning and messaging to launch the revised ACA qualification and feed ongoing communication channels during the roll-out of the qualification.
- To take responsibility for the day-to-day deliver of communications, including agency liaison, collation of feedback and trafficking of work to achieve completion.
- To look for new and innovative ways to communicate about the ACA to our existing audiences and create bold marketing campaigns to leverage the ACA evolution, therefore attracting more employers to offer the ACA, increase the number of training contracts offered by existing ICAEW employers and entice more potential students into the profession.
- Take responsibility for the development of internally produced assets (email, social media) and oversee agency development of other assets.
- Measure, report and analyse activity to create insightful evaluation reports that will feed into future activity.
- To be a 'go-to' person who lives and breathes the developments that will take place as part of this project.
- Prepare and deliver tactical elements of communications and marketing, including (but not limited to) email communication, social cards, web page updates, video, presentations and webinars.
- Work seamlessly with team colleagues within Student Attraction and Marketing to ensure they understand updates to messaging and / or changes to content that falls within their area and can respond within the required timelines
- To work with the Marketing Executive - ACA Delivery on a day-to-day basis
- Other specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs.

Essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in developing marketing materials.
- Preparing, executing, and measuring effectiveness of project plans.
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
- Self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent written English and copywriting skills.
- Proofing reading.
Desirable but not essential
- Experience in the student recruitment or education sector
- Knowledge of professional services / membership organisations
