Role Overview As a Junior Buyer, you'll play a key role in supporting the senior buyer and department manager by:
- Managing purchase orders and keeping track of inventory
- Overseeing an open order book across 200+ suppliers
- Providing administrative support and maintaining ERP systems
- Running MRP to ensure timely deliveries and minimise risks
- Monitoring market trends and vendor performance
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations for inbound freight
Key Skills and Experience

Essential:
-
5 GCSEs or equivalent
-
1-3 years' experience in purchasing
-
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
-
Proven ability to manage tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Desirable:
-
Experience in raw material purchasing

Familiarity with customs processes
-
CIPS qualification or studying towards it
-
A minimum of 1-3 years' experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing or construction organisation
