This is a role for a true sales professional, someone who gets a kick out of bringing in new business.

Someone who loves cold calling, and professionally relentless. I know there are sales people that do not like cold calling, but cold calling is much easier when you work for a company with a great rep... make their day, and find solutions that will help their business.

This position primarily focuses on acquiring new business within our current database. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to surpass targets and possess a genuine passion for raising awareness and promoting Workwell Umbrella services throughout the UK.

Skills, knowledge, and experience required

  • Previous business development and influential business service sales experience allied to the recruitment/contracting industry; experience in the following fields is advantageous (IT / Finance / Medical)
  • A recent proven track record of the full 360 sales cycle, with sales-driven environments/ industries a must
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills essential (written and oral)
  • Excellent understanding of Recruitment agencies, their functionalities and business workflow
  • Proven experience in communicating with senior decision-makers within the company
  • Knowledge of Umbrella and Contractor services, including key selling points and benefits
  • The ability to research, listen and assess business needs at a consultative level
  • Must be operational orientated, strong problem-solving, objection handling, organised and numeracy skills required
  • Must be able to present and articulate Workwell
  • Results-driven, business-minded, creative solutions, analytical and professionally persuasive, whilst being ethically and morally driven
  • KPI experience, activities led and outcome-focused
  • Knowledge of creating and presenting weekly/ monthly reports to the Sales Director to articulate sales activities
  • Must be a proven closer and have the ability to manage their own time to ensure outcomes are met or exceeded

Essential requirements for the role

  • Scheduling daily core hour calls daily to build a prospective new business pipeline
  • Regular (weekly) travel across the UK is a MUST to visit new clients for face-to-face meetings to close
  • Research, identify, and chase new business opportunities to develop business partnerships with agencies to use our Umbrella service solution
  • An understanding of contractor/ payroll services, along with UK tax for payroll services
  • Ability to liaise and develop relationships with internal departments (Finance / Operations) and maximize cross-selling opportunities as and when they present themselves
  • Experience in consultative reviews to ensure the business model is right for the agency
  • Regular bookings to review the service offered by Workwell
  • Activities focused, with an understanding of the average of calls and business partnership conversions
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods
  • Use of the company CRM and sales tools to record client interactions, data updates and agreements
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Maintain and keep growing the relationships of companies brought on board to maximize referrals
