Senior Ecologist Role:
A Senior Ecology Consultant is needed to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and enhance ecological services. You will conduct ecological assessments, provide expert client guidance, and ensure compliance with legislation and best practices, working on diverse projects from infrastructure to biodiversity conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ecological projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Conduct ecological surveys and assessments, including habitat evaluations and EcIAs.
- Build strong client relationships and provide clear ecological advice.
- Mentor junior ecologists.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MSc or BSc in Ecology or similar related field
- 3+ years' consultancy experience, and demonstrable project management/delivery experience
- Thorough understanding of UK wildlife legislation.
- Protected species and habitat surveying proficiency.
- Report writing experience (EIAs, PEAs etc)
- Full UK driving licence and car - willing to travel to South East for site visits
