Level: Senior - Mid
Place of Work: Onsite
Salary: £45-50k, depending on experience

Job Brief
We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Operations Manager to direct and assist in the management of business operational activities. This role involves developing and implementing effective operational and change management strategies.

Reporting Structure

  • Direct Report: Operations Director
  • Collaborators: Finance Director and Technical Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations and Business Leadership:

  • Conduct continuous analysis of production and operations.

  • Manage production workflow, scheduling, and coordination to ensure minimal lead times and high efficiency.

  • Allocate production resources to meet business needs.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure sustainability and growth.

  • Implement strategic plans and departmental improvements.

  • Work with and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Collaborate with back-office employees for auditable transparency.

  • Enhance profit by increasing efficiencies and identifying goals for business growth.

  • Manage the production and operations change agenda to support business needs.

  • Assist the Operations Director with compliance and approval data.

  • Assist with warranty resolution.

Required Skills

  • Business administration qualification.
  • Knowledge of production planning in a manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with planning software.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) advantageous.
  • Manufacturing industry knowledge.
  • Experience working within a standard costing environment using variation analysis and non-conformance reporting.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent knowledge of different business functions.
  • Good data management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Change management experience.
  • Ability to form relationships at all levels.
