The Role:
As a Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the education and development of young students. Your responsibilities include:
- Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Plan and teach engaging, creative lessons in line with the national curriculum for students in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and placement.
- Student Development: Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment where each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents, adapting your teaching methods to support individual learning needs.
- Classroom Management: Ensure a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment by applying effective behaviour management strategies.
- Curriculum Enhancement: Participate in the development of innovative teaching resources and strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Parental Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and collaborating on any areas of concern.
- Extra-curricular Involvement: Encourage student participation in school events and activities to enrich their educational experience.
Requirements:
- Teaching Qualifications: Must hold QTS/PGCE and have relevant experience teaching in a primary school setting.
- Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching young children, with a focus on inspiring a love for learning.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Classroom Management Skills: Experience in creating a structured and positive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Team Player: A collaborative attitude, working effectively within the school community and contributing to a supportive, positive culture.
