Support Worker (Female)

We are seeking Female Support Workers to support people to live happy and fulfilled lives within their local communities.

Due to the nature of this role and the people supported this role is only open to female applicants.

P osition: Support Worker - Female Only (qualifies under Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act.)
Location: Killingworth & Lemington (NE12 & NE15)
Job type: Permanent, 2x Part-time Roles - Lemington (NE15) 2x Part-time Roles - Killingworth (NE12)
Salary: Pay: £12.00 p/hr (complex rate) (8am - 10pm) / £8.21 p/hr for 10 hour sleep-in support (10pm - 8am). Mileage: 45p per mile (drivers) / 20p per mile (cyclists). Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

Supporting people to learn independent living skills such as managing a tenancy, cooking and cleaning and ensuring their individual support needs are met through person-centred tailored support that promotes choice, independence and their voice.

About You:

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Be Involved: Be a motivator, encouraging and guiding the individual to take small but brave steps towards learning new skills, meeting new people and attending local community groups.
  • Be Proud: Support the person to become as independent as they can, making their own choices, decisions and managing their finances.
