Position: Experienced Gas Suppression Engineer
Location: London and the Home Counties
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 DOE
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x for weeknights and Saturdays; 2x on Sundays
Benefits: Company vehicle + fuel card, 20 days holiday + bank holidays + 1 additional day for each year of service, £240 standby fee, travel paid after the first hour, company phone, and tools.

I have partnered with a well-established company that provides a comprehensive suite of fire protection and suppression solutions. They are experiencing an exciting period of growth due to continued reinvestment and are seeking an experienced gas suppression engineer to join their dynamic team. Although they have a national presence, the role will be regional within London and the Home Counties, as they prioritize a healthy work-life balance for their staff.

The successful candidate will have a track record of electrical servicing on a range of large gas suppression systems. This company primarily provides commercial services to a variety of data centres and blue-chip offices throughout the UK, resulting in an incredibly varied working week—no two jobs are the same. They offer an extensive training program to upskill experienced gas engineers on their specific systems and will provide you with all the necessary tools to excel in your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the service manager for scheduling.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance on a comprehensive suite of gas suppression systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Travel primarily within London and occasionally to outer counties.
  • Uphold a high level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Work on a range of projects with blue-chip clientele.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Gas Suppression Engineer or a solid background as an F-Gas certified Engineer.
  • Experience with larger gas suppression systems is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Inergen (IG541) or IG55 systems, such as Argonite or Pro-Inert, is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with FM200 and Novec 1230 is also desirable.
  • Valid F-Gas Certification.
  • Based in London or nearby counties.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
