MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

People Solutions are actively seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's on-site team.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring that their manufacturing processes and installations run smoothly and efficiently.

Day to Day Duties
- Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within the manufacturing environment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring systems operate safely and at peak efficiency.
- Support and participate in new electrical installations, following all relevant standards and safety requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance the longevity and performance of equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient communication and effective issue resolution.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed.
- Use combined electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot complex issues across various equipment.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician/Engineer within the steel industry.
- Qualification in electrical installations and practices (17th/18th Edition certification required).
- Knowledge of inspection and testing procedures (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience with preventive maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs.
- Additional certifications in inspection and testing procedures.
- Willingness to participate in cross-functional training to develop both electrical and mechanical expertise.
