Join a leading company in the mobility products sector as an Accounts Assistant. This role is ideal for candidates with varying levels of experience, from seasoned professionals to those currently training and looking to advance their career. You will be part of a dedicated accounts and admin team, playing a key role in financial management and operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Extract financial data to analyse and identify errors, patterns, and trends.
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management information.
  • Assist in the upkeep of the general/nominal ledgers.
  • Work closely with management teams to investigate and resolve debt, credit, or invoicing errors.
  • Collate invoices and receipts to reconcile monthly employee credit card statements, chasing up non-receipted transactions and escalating queries to management as necessary.
  • Ensure aged debtors reports are reconciled regularly, identifying and correcting any anomalies.
  • Assist with year-end external audit queries.
  • Maintain the company creditors, including opening new accounts and reconciling any allocation queries.
  • Keep up the maintenance of the fixed asset register.
  • Perform monthly internal audits to ensure compliance with business regulations.
  • Assist with the management of finance customers, including initial direct debit setups and monthly report analysis to identify any non-payments.
  • Take inbound calls from customers/sales reps wishing to make payments over the telephone and process these payments using a web-based merchant site.
  • Diversify your skills and confidently cover other employees' annual leave within the department.
  • Assist the accountant with ad hoc tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A systematic approach to tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong ability to analyse financial data and identify patterns and trends.
  • Fundamental understanding of accountancy principles.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn and use computer-based software effectively.
  • Works well as part of a team and possesses strong communication skills.
