Our client are a well established fitout contractor who has been building a strong brand in their market for the past 25 years. With a national reach and with deep relationships with some of the UK's most recognisable retail brands, they can offer a secure and sustainable workload to their team. Due to some significant contract wins, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to their business.

Your new role
As Contracts Manager you will play a key role in the delivery of a range of fitout and capital works projects to a large locally based public sector institution. This contract has the potential to double our clients' turnover, so effective delivery of this work is critical to the success of the business. The nature of the works flows between residential maintenance and small works to capital works and project work on commercial buildings. As Contracts Manager, you will be operationally responsible for the delivery of these works through the efficient deployment of our clients' workforce and supply chain. Working with your supervisors on-site and the commercial team back in the office, you will ensure that the work is being completed profitably with a focus on quality, WHS and compliance. You will be expected to develop positive relationships with key client stakeholders ensuring a regular flow of work is guaranteed.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is from a fitout and refurbishment background backed up by a technical qualification such as a trade or relevant degree. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a capital works /framework contract environment as a contract manager previously and understand how to make these contracts work for both our client and the end user. You will be used to working on multiple projects at multiple stages at all times and understand how to prioritise and delegate work effectively. Our clients is focused on developing and mentoring their trades and supervisors into construction leaders, so you must have an appetite for staff engagement and development. This contract is multi-year and local in scope, so it has the potential to offer the successful candidate a busy and engaging role for the next 5 years at least.
