Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting a dedicated High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our client's alternative provision setting in Sheffield. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who require additional support and to play a crucial role in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level classroom support to teachers, helping to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with small groups or individual students, offering tailored support to meet their specific needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Support students with behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour management techniques.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a High-Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong understanding of the needs of students in alternative provision settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g., HLTA status, Level 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
